In 2002 Gary Upton emigrated from the United Kingdom with his wife Claudia and family.
They bought and renovated a 150 year old farmhouse with a small olive farm located on a hillside in Tramonte above Ponte a Moriano,
near Lucca. Gary has a business and engineering background, previously owning and running an executive search company.
Claudia Upton has a business and financial services background and has worked in operations management positions for
some of the worlds top hotels, including Hilton International, Inter-Continental Hotels and Le Meridien Hotels. Claudia is
a qualified translator and has provided translation services for companies throughout Tuscany. Claudia also provides support to
the non-English speaking customers of Tuscany Fine Rentals.
