The location of this property is very peaceful and is a perfect base for exploring the area around Lucca by car, or going further afield by train. The views from the large terrace are spectacular. We enjoyed an easy day trip to Florence by train from the local station. Lucca is a gem and it was wonderful to explore in the cooler evenings. The village has an excellent butcher/deli and fruiterer and the gelateria is very special. We self catered in the main and enjoyed BBQ’s from the spacious terrace. It would make a good base for walkers or birders. The owner was very helpful indeed and nothing was too much trouble. You are sharing the property with the family but this was no problem at all, they were very quiet. The accommodation is clean and comfortable but it is rustic because it is part of a farm house and the kitchen is "Italian at heart "with no dishwasher, microwave or washing machine! It is otherwise well equipped with a good sized fridge. We pointed out a leaky tap to the owner which was causing damp to enter the cupboards and he assured us he would attend to it. When shuttered the apartment kept beautifully cool. The shower room is small and basic but clean. The access drive is rural but is fine for a regular vehicle but might prove difficult for a sports car. The winding road from the village is what gives the property it's spectacular location. This is an excellent apartment for a couple who want peace and quiet overlooking the superb view, with birds of prey soaring on the thermals and Hoopes feeding among in the olive trees.

We had a fantastic holiday at the olive farm apartment ! Thoroughly enjoyed the pool and setting, this is the second time we have been and is highly recommended The accommodation is clean and tidy with plenty of space and the terrace is great for eating outside watching the sunset in the evenings. Our children Loved the surroundings as there is plenty of space to run around safely and you really get a sense of being away from it all within the olive trees and surrounding forest. Very pleasant , quiet with great scenery

Our stay was just perfect. Everything was exactly as advertised, the apartment has all the amenities you need, so you can feel at home. The location is great, you can arrive from Florence airport within 45 minutes very scenic and away from it all. The road is a little bumpy however to be expected on a farm location. Our landlords were very helpful and responsive to our needs. Overall a wonderful experience!

Gary was very friendly and very helpful, he recommended places to visit places to eat and how to get around Tuscany. The apartment was clean and comfortable and in a very beautiful location. You get the taste of real Tuscan life which you dont get in a hotel. I would definatley recommend this apartment and this part of Tuscany which was very close to lucca. Just wish we could have stayed longer than 2 weeks. You must try their olive oil which was grown on there farm its excellent.

Had a wonderful relaxing fortnight with my wife. Lovely views down into the valley from our spacious ve randah. Gary and Claudia were the perfect hosts...there if you needed them, but otherwise left us to our privacy.Very tranquil amongst the olive groves, lots of birdsong, without any background noise of cars. You do need a car, and the road up to the apartment is great once you get used to the hairpin bends. Best pizzas ever in the village restaurant.Great place as a base for touring Tuscany.
