Liberty Style Villa in Lucca, Frescoes throughout swimming pool WiFi - TFR16
Elegant hillside liberty style residence with swimming pool Lucca. 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and with a tower that has the most fantastic views you will ever see!
The villa is situated on top of a hill (200mt) in San Quirico di Moriano Lucca, and from this position it entirely dominates Lucca and its valley. It is surrounded by Pizzorne Mountains to the east and by Monti Pisanito the west. Thanks to its location the villa has sunny days even during the winter, while in the summer the climate is fresh with the surrounding rich vegetation.
Description of the accommodation
The place is unique in Lucca and so it has attracted different
owners during the centuries. Here lived shepherds who tanned
leathers but also the Bishop of Lucca. In particular it was
included in the possessions of the Mansi family, one of the most
important and richest families in Lucca in the XVI century.
An elegant marble staircase leads you to the upper floors and to the wide balcony from where you can admire a wonderful view.
You will find Liberty frescos all around the house giving it a very special feel, large balconies adjacent to the marble stairways give it a real majestic quality. The villa has on the right side a tower with a veranda and a balcony which allows you to sunbathe in the summer and of course, to admire the spectacular panorama.
The villa is enclosed by a huge garden, on the back there is an ancient olive grove and in the north between the olive trees is the swimming pool which is available from May until October.
Local natural amenities
The location is ideal if you like walking. Behind the villa towards Monte Catino, you can take a nice walk through a wood called Balletto delle Volpi ( Foxes' Ballet) which has a rich and blooming Mediterranean vegetation composed of chestnuts, oaks, acacias, alders and bushes of blackberries.

We stayed at this property in June. We were a group of 7 consisting of 2 familes. The building itself is truly majestic and more than enough room for all of us. The terrace area is fantastic for enjoying balmy nights and al fresco dining. Lucca is only a 5 minute drive away and there are a stunning views from the house across the rolling hills. There are a number of villages around where you can experience a local sagra, which is thoroughly recommended. Touring of Tuscany is easily accesible from the property and it acts as a good base in which to tour from whilst also providing a quiet setting to return to.

We stayed in Villa La Torre which really is a beautiful place with frescos painted on the ceilings and walls - extremely spacious too! The verandah was a favourite for me and my teenage daughters as there were very comfortable sunloungers and excellent views! Top Tip though is to make sure you are given a very good map to find the place - we weren't and it took us about three hours to find it! It was well worth it once we got there though! Would definitely consider returning. (We give guests coordinates and detailed maps - Tuscany Fine Rentals)

This was a fantastic time at Villa Torre near Lucca. We have been there in the 2nd and 3rd week of June with a group of 8 adults and 2 kids. The area is gorgeous and the Villa fulfilled all our expectations. We have had great meals on the terrace looking towards Lucca and during rainy days we have enjoyed the tower with a great view onto the region. The grand thing is the nice garden which is well kept and very nice interior of the villa.
