A 150-year-old quarry-stone house, recently  restored, and situated in a quiet position at the edge of a village close to Lucca.  Surrounded by olive-trees and a beautiful extended garden it also has lots of flowers, fruit and lemon-trees.

From here you can enjoy marvellous views over olive-groves up to the Monte Pisano, which separates this valley from the sea, responsible for a pleasant mild climate. Only 9 km from Lucca.

Description of the accommodation

Villa San Ginese comprises two accommodations, the main villaand Il Fienile(small house on side of main villa).

The house has exposed beams with old floors and panoramic views. In the basement you find the roomy and completely equipped kitchen with refrigerator, oven, hob and fire-place; The dining-room with a table, typical Lucca chairs and an old settee. The living-room with a comfortable couch combination, both very elegantly furnished, partly with antique furniture.

The stairs lead to the first floor. On the right, there's a double bedroom, to the left a white-furnished single bedroom.  A little corridor goes to the bathroom, equipped with bath, toilet, bidet, washbasin, chest of drawers, an old red-marble furniture and an old mirror. The second floor offers another room with two beds, furnished in an antique style. From here, you have an unforgettable view in all the four points of the compass over the Compitese hills. The whole house has central gas heating, so you can stay here also in autumn and winter to visit Lucca in low season.
