The villa is situated on top of a hill (200mt) in San Quirico di Moriano and from this position it entirely dominates Lucca and its valley. It is surrounded by Pizzorne Mountains to the east and by Monti Pisanito the west. Thanks to its location the villa has sunny days even during the winter, while in the summer the climate is fresh with the surrounding rich vegetation.

Description of the accommodation

The place is unique in Lucca and so it has attracted different owners during the centuries. Here lived shepherds who tanned leathers but also the Bishop of Lucca. In particular it was included in the possessions of the Mansi family, one of the most important and richest families in Lucca in the XVI century.

An elegant marble staircase leads you to the upper floors and to the wide balcony from where you can admire a wonderful view.

You will find Liberty frescos all around the house giving it a very special feel, large balconies adjacent to the marble stairways give it a real majestic quality. The villa has on the right side a tower with a veranda and a balcony which allows you to sunbathe in the summer and of course, to admire the spectacular panorama.

The villa is enclosed by a huge garden, on the back there is an ancient olive grove and in the north between the olive trees is the swimming pool which is available from May until October.

Local natural amenities

The location is ideal if you like walking. Behind the villa towards Monte Catino, you can take a nice walk through a wood called Balletto delle Volpi ( Foxes’ Ballet) which has a rich and blooming Mediterranean vegetation composed of chestnuts, oaks, acacias, alders and bushes of blackberries.

Final cleaning at extra cost.Between June & September their is also the additional benefit of two caretakers who live in the basement of the property who maintain the pool and the grounds. For July & August the price is £1020 per week.
